Plumber (South East) (Heat Pumps)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth, Reading, Maidstone, Brighton, Maidstone or Surrey, United Kingdom

Salary: £26,000–£30,000 base salary annually, with overtime available and London weighting for residents within the M25

What you will do

• Work in a two-person team to install air source heat pumps and other low-carbon technology in customers’ homes.
• Prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, radiators, and domestic heating systems.
• Communicate and coordinate with customers and the wider installation team.
• Learn new renewable heating technologies through training at the R&D centre.
• Carry out work respectfully and maintain a strong customer focus.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (domestic), and/or gas qualification with CCN1 and CENWAT held for at least three years.
• Experience with the wet side of domestic heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than six points.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and proactive working skills.

Nice to have

• WRAS Water Supply Regulations qualification.
• UHW10 or HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems qualification.
