Sourcing & Pricing Analyst (Energy)

Location: Flexible hybrid setup between home and the carbon-neutral Amsterdam office, Netherlands. Work abroad is permitted for up to 6 weeks per year, including up to 4 weeks outside the EU.

What you will do

• Optimize commercial pricing for energy contracts and flexibility solutions by balancing procurement costs, margin targets, risk premiums, and market competitiveness.
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade data models and warehouse architecture in dbt and Snowflake.
• Evaluate energy sourcing strategies, procurement efficiency, customer value, and customer segments with Portfolio Management.
• Lead analytical projects for regulatory frameworks such as ETS2 and green gas mandates, establishing sourcing workflows, data pipelines, and completeness controls.
• Monitor energy markets, tariffs, price volatility, and competitor offerings using scrapers and dashboards.
• Build real-time tools, automated dashboards, and business cases to assess the financial and P&L impact of pricing strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling data models with dbt and Snowflake or comparable tools such as Databricks or PostgreSQL.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with gross margin analysis, commercial pricing optimization, customer lifetime value, acquisition costs, and P&L impact.
• Understanding of, or strong affinity for, energy procurement, tariff structures, risk premiums, and energy market dynamics.
• Ability to translate complex pricing and data topics into clear insights for Commerce, Finance, and Strategy stakeholders.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Lightdash, or PowerBI.
• Dutch language skills.
