Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York City

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 USD annually, depending on experience, plus equity, benefits, and an annual performance-based bonus of up to 30%.

What you will do

• Define team objectives and priorities while considering product strategy and the roadmap.
• Contribute to product ideation, discovery, refinement, and development from the outset.
• Analyze complex problems and design scalable software solutions and architectures.
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain microservices and distributed systems.
• Deliver high-quality production code, thorough documentation, and smooth deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other functional teams to create customer-centric features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience shipping production code.
• Professional fluency in one or more backend languages, such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience building, testing, and deploying microservices and developing distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills across engineering, product, and other functional teams.
• Experience or interest in generative AI technologies, including proprietary and open-source large language models.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js or React.
• Performance optimization experience.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker, and ECS or Kubernetes.
