What you will do

• Engineer, install, rebuild, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, infrastructure services, hardware, peripherals, and storage systems.
• Administer VMware, KVM, NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cisco, Mellanox, Jenkins, Git, LDAP, Foreman, GLPI, and related infrastructure tools.
• Provision storage, monitor systems, manage backups and recovery, control access, archive files, and verify system and application integrity.
• Apply security patches, report compliance, monitor for intrusions, and maintain the security posture of operational and development systems.
• Automate system administration tasks with Ansible, maintain configuration procedures and standards, and optimize system performance and resources.
• Provide Tier III support, troubleshoot hardware and software failures, coordinate with vendors, and support data center, colocation, and laboratory environments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of system administration experience in Linux environments, including shell scripting, cron jobs, log analysis, user and group management, iptables, and mail services.
• Advanced VMware administration and management skills, with experience administering Jenkins, Git, and DevOps tools.
• Strong experience managing storage servers, especially NetApp and Pure Storage, including provisioning, monitoring, backup and recovery, and access control.
• Experience managing network equipment, preferably Cisco, and familiarity with reverse proxies, SSL certificates, HTTP, three-tier architecture, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise service buses.
• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II-compliant certification is required; Linux administration certifications are preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, move servers between the main data center, colocation, and labs, work independently, multitask, and provide after-hours or weekend support when required.
