Local Coordinator - Torrance, California

Location: Fully remote; must reside in the United States. Occasional local visits require a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

What you will do

• Recruit and screen host families for international high school students.
• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other partners.
• Match students with suitable host families and provide ongoing support throughout the program.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students, host families, and schools, acting as an advocate and mediator when concerns arise.
• Complete monthly progress reports and required documentation.
• Participate in community outreach, host family recruitment, and cultural exchange initiatives.

Requirements

• Flexible, work-from-home availability and willingness to work independently while maintaining regular communication.
• Community involvement, relationship-building ability, and passion for supporting students and educational programs.
• Comfort with networking and recruiting within the local community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local visits.

Nice to have

• Experience in volunteer management, community outreach, education, student services, social work, nonprofit organizations, recruitment, or sales.
• Previous sales or recruiting experience.
