Compliance Officer, Caymans (Crypto)

Location: New York City office, United States; the role supports hirify.global’s Cayman Islands operations.

Base pay: $132,000–$167,000 per year in the New York City area, plus performance-linked bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee regulatory requirements for hirify.global’s Cayman Islands entities, including filings, notifications, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Manage compliance assessments and ongoing compliance oversight for products offered through Cayman entities.
• Align AML/CFT/CPF policies and monitoring tools with Cayman Islands AML regulations and guidance.
• Handle escalated Enhanced Due Diligence, PEP, and high-risk client reviews.
• Oversee sanctions compliance and digital asset Travel Rule obligations for Cayman client flows.
• Prepare quarterly compliance and AML/CFT reporting for the Cayman Entity Board and advise New York-based Product, Trading, and Legal teams.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of financial compliance, legal, or regulatory experience, including dedicated exposure to derivatives products.
• Experience at a US-headquartered broker-dealer, crypto platform, asset manager, or law firm managing offshore Cayman structures.
• Strong understanding of institutional digital asset market structure, execution flows, and custody models.
• Experience with Cayman Islands regulatory requirements, AML/CFT/CPF programs, sanctions, and Travel Rule obligations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including regulatory responses and board-level presentations.
• ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent compliance credentials are preferred.
