Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Remote, with preference given to East Coast candidates

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient cloud platform solutions.
• Create modular, reusable infrastructure with Terraform and related Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting platform functions and customer needs.
• Implement monitoring, logging, IAM, firewall, and SIEM solutions to improve reliability, performance, and security.
• Modernize legacy environments, troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, optimize system performance, and plan capacity scaling.
• Lead assigned projects, collaborate across development, operations, and security teams, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform, cloud, or SRE engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong scripting skills with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with Git, collaborative workflows, Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and SDLC processes.
• Solid understanding of containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, LXC, or similar technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to improve productivity and solution quality.
