Senior Software Engineer - Platform Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; employees are required to work in the office 4 days per week.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 base salary per year, excluding bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Build self-service developer platforms for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, secrets management, and shared services.
• Create reusable platform services, SDKs, APIs, and golden paths for software development and delivery.
• Develop CI/CD automation, testing, security, compliance workflows, and ephemeral development environments.
• Improve scalability, resiliency, observability, diagnostics, and operational excellence across engineering teams.
• Partner with application teams to remove operational toil and improve developer workflows and productivity.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, platform engineering practices, and AI-assisted developer tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Production software development experience with Go, Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience designing developer platforms, internal tooling, automation frameworks, or shared engineering services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, Linux, containers, and distributed systems.
• Experience building CI/CD platforms and delivery pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code technologies, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Helm, Kafka, Temporal, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Datadog, gRPC, Protobuf, or Tilt.
• Interest in emerging platform technologies and AI-powered developer tooling.
