Associate Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Remote; preference given to East Coast candidates

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable security solutions across corporate, engineering, product, compliance, and governance functions under senior guidance.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions, maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate repetitive tasks, and improve cloud configuration security.
• Maintain SIEM solutions and log ingestion pipelines for monitoring, alerting, and threat detection.
• Develop and test incident response playbooks, monitor emerging threats, and operationalize threat intelligence using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Support vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, application governance, mobile application management, and security hardening.
• Contribute to secure SDLC and feature reviews, phishing simulations, penetration testing coordination, compliance documentation, and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional engineering experience and familiarity with information security.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, scripting and automation, and version control.
• Intermediate proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts, including ECS, ACA, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify critical issues and escalate them with recommendations.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field.
