SVP, Global Data Center Operations (AI)

Location: AMER; APAC

Salary: $250,000–$350,000 USD base salary, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Lead 24/7/365 operations across Nscale’s global data center portfolio, ensuring uptime and availability of critical power and cooling systems.
• Establish and govern global SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for facility equipment and operations.
• Own escalation and root cause analysis for critical facility, environmental, and grounds incidents while maintaining facility SLAs.
• Manage space, power, cooling capacity, building operations, environmental controls, and grounds maintenance.
• Drive PUE, WUE, operational cost, reliability, safety, and sustainability improvements.
• Build and lead a globally distributed organization while managing colocation providers, utilities, contractors, and cross-functional deployment workflows.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in data center facility operations, critical environments, or physical plant management, including at least 5 years in executive or senior leadership.
• Experience managing and scaling globally distributed data center facilities, real estate, utilities, and operational portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of UPS, HVAC, chillers, backup generators, fire suppression, and high-density air and liquid cooling systems for AI workloads.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed facilities and critical environment teams, with significant OpEx and CapEx budget responsibility.
• Strong strategic planning, executive communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with sustainability initiatives, green data center design, or environmental responsibility programs.
• Knowledge of real estate, construction, or facilities management for data center development.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or other operational analytics platforms.
