Backend Engineer (Web3)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs and backend services for a Web3 payments platform.
• Develop features that improve the product experience.
• Collaborate with product and protocol teams to architect solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Respond to incidents and debug production issues to maintain system reliability.

Requirements

• Experience building production backend systems with modern programming languages.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working at a crypto startup or Web3 infrastructure company.
• Experience with blockchain integrations, smart contracts, or DeFi protocols.
• Background in high-scale payment processing or financial compliance systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
• Open-source contributions or technical writing experience.
