What you will do

• Author and review core PostgreSQL database engine code in the open source git repository.
• Discuss designs, architecture, bugs, and community business on public PostgreSQL mailing lists like pgsql-hackers.
• Contribute to features, fixes, drivers, extensions, patch reviews, testing, security, performance, and benchmarking.
• Participate in development and commitfest discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experienced PostgreSQL contributor: mentioned in PostgreSQL project git logs at least 30 times over 8+ years.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
