Front-End WordPress Developer

Location: Remote, with the ability to work wherever you want

What you will do

• Build websites and site features from Figma or similar design references.
• Develop and maintain WordPress Gutenberg block themes, including templates, parts, patterns, and theme.json configuration.
• Work with traditional WordPress themes and occasionally other page builder platforms.
• Write clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and build front-end functionality with React or similar component-based approaches.
• Use Git and GitHub, code reviews, continuous deployment, and cross-browser and cross-device troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and strategists while contributing to documentation, component libraries, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Fluency in WordPress, including traditional themes and Gutenberg block themes.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with experience translating designs into accurate, responsive, production-ready code.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, collaborative development, and continuous deployment or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Codex.
• Strong attention to detail, clean coding practices, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fluent English is required for written and spoken communication.

Nice to have

• Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks.
• Experience with React or similar component-based frameworks.
• Experience in a multi-client or agency environment.
