Manager, Data Stewardship (Data Governance)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid workplace model with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day data stewardship across assigned master data domains and ensure information is accurate, trusted, available, and fit for purpose.
• Lead, coach, and develop Data Stewards; set goals, support development, and manage team performance.
• Partner with Data Product Owners, Data Governance, business stakeholders, architects, and technology teams to define requirements, quality rules, SLAs, and remediation workflows.
• Define, standardize, measure, and report data quality metrics through dashboards and other reporting.
• Maintain critical data elements, definitions, metadata, data dictionaries, and field-level guidance.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, trend and root cause analysis, issue triage, remediation, and master data management improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in data management, data stewardship, master data management, data governance, data quality, business analysis, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, goal setting, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of master data management, data stewardship, data quality, data governance, metadata, and data lifecycle practices.
• Experience with data management systems, MDM platforms, data quality tools, workflow tools, metadata repositories, or enterprise data platforms.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with the ability to understand data models, integrations, workflows, and data quality rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Alteryx, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools.
