Director, SEO (AEO)

Location: Stamford, CT; hybrid work environment

Salary: USD 120,000–167,000 base salary annually, plus an annual bonus or role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and scale a team of SEO/AEO associates responsible for execution.
• Define and execute enterprise SEO and AEO strategy across on-page, technical, and off-page workstreams.
• Drive site architecture improvements, migrations, platform changes, and cross-functional adoption of search initiatives.
• Develop executive-level performance presentations, reporting, dashboards, and actionable recommendations.
• Establish SEO and AEO measurement frameworks, including metrics for AI-driven visibility.
• Build experimentation frameworks and test new SEO and AEO tactics for measurable growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of SEO experience with ownership of strategy, execution, and performance in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years leading and developing SEO or digital marketing teams.
• Demonstrated organic growth tied to traffic, conversion, pipeline, or revenue outcomes.
• Deep expertise in technical SEO, search algorithms, SERP features, and AI-driven search.
• Experience with AEO/GEO, conversational search, AI-generated answers, and entity-based discovery.
• Advanced analytics skills and proficiency with platforms such as BrightEdge, Ahrefs, STAT, Google Search Console, and GA4; familiarity with HTML/CSS, site architecture, and structured data.
