Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue), Create: Repository Management

What you will do

• Develop secure, well-tested, performant repository management features using Vue.js and GraphQL.
• Turn complex policy, permissions, and legacy constraints into clear, intuitive, responsive, and accessible interfaces.
• Collaborate with product management, product design, user experience research, testing, security, technical writing, Gitaly, Code Review, and Source Code Experience.
• Use and critically review AI coding agents for appropriately scoped work.
• Maintain code quality through standards, documentation, and code review.
• Improve production reliability through monitoring, Tier 2 on-call participation, incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, observability, and resiliency work.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript web framework and GraphQL integration.
• Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, accessibility, and frontend performance.
• Experience simplifying complex policy, permissions, or rules-based problems in web applications.
• Experience writing frontend unit and acceptance tests with tools such as Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, ava, or tape.
• Professional Git experience, collaborative code review knowledge, and a track record of using AI coding agents effectively in a large monorepo.
• Clear written and spoken English communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.

• Experience coaching and mentoring frontend engineers or providing technical leadership.
• Experience with branch protection, Codeowners, merge strategies, or repository management.
