Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Snowflake)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with potential bonus participation.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of significant software features and data engineering projects.
• Design, build, maintain, and optimize backend data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data processing solutions using Python, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and SAP BODS.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, and deployment processes using GitHub, Central Repository, and Jenkins.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks while collaborating with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business partners.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code; participate in code reviews; and troubleshoot data, performance, and reliability issues across lower and production environments.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to design discussions, risk identification, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training.
• 10+ years of software development experience focused on backend or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, SQL, ETL, Spark, Python, and SAP BODS for scalable data solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including version control, GitHub, Jenkins, and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
