Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Snowflake)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of significant software features and data engineering projects.
• Design, build, maintain, and optimize backend data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data processing solutions.
• Use Python, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and SAP BODS to support analytics and downstream applications.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot data, performance, and reliability issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience and training.
• 10+ years of software development experience focused on backend or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and work with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, SQL, ETL, Spark, Python, and SAP BODS.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, automated testing, and software development best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
