Senior Web Engineer (React/Next.js)

A prediction market platform enabling peer-to-peer trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs.

What you will do

• Own and ship complex trading UI features for perpetual futures, including order books, position panels, trade history, funding rates, and liquidation displays.
• Design responsive interfaces for live market data, streaming order books, and fast-moving prices.
• Work with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, real-time data flows, failure modes, and exchange system behavior.
• Partner with QA, TPM, product, and design teams to clarify requirements, manage launches, and improve product quality.
• Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, and user reports; respond to production incidents and follow issues through to resolution.
• Improve frontend architecture, observability, reliability, and technical debt as the product scales.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of frontend web engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Experience building trading, exchange, or financial product UIs.
• Strong frontend system design skills across state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience with real-time data, including WebSockets, streaming APIs, or live market feeds.
• Strong debugging, communication, ownership, and production incident response skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building interfaces for perpetuals exchanges or derivatives trading products.
• Frontend performance specialization focused on real-time data rendering.
• Experience in crypto, Web3, or adjacent financial infrastructure.
• Experience improving frontend observability, alerting, or reliability practices.
• Practical use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
