Senior Software Development Engineer (Go)

Location: Hybrid role in Dublin, Ireland

Salary: $71,000–$104,500 per year base salary for Ireland-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

What you will do

• Design, deliver, and provide production support for reliable distributed services and platform enhancements.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability, scalability, and operability.
• Support internal development teams by resolving platform usage issues and providing sample code and reusable patterns.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong fundamentals in testing, debugging, code quality, and design principles.
• Professional experience building production backend software in Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience building and operating software on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience owning technical work from implementation through production support and resolving production issues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup in Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Strong production experience with Go and AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, or Step Functions.
• Experience with containers, container orchestration, and observability tools for logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with internal platforms, developer tooling, shared services, Agile environments, or reliability improvements.
