Principal Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States

Salary: $139,000–$249,260 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

What you will do

• Design and develop secure, performant, resilient, and highly available full-stack applications for the Connected Delivery platform.
• Build services supporting the discovery, download, and installation of hirify.global products, services, and third-party applications.
• Lead project planning, estimation, technical design, risk mitigation, and team execution.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and elaborate requirements.
• Review code, troubleshoot production issues, and uphold software development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in an after-hours incident response rotation supporting 24/7 platform availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• More than 10 years of experience developing scalable, distributed applications.
• Experience leading teams of five or more software engineers and working in large distributed teams.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, NextJS, and NestJS.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs with microservices architecture and building cloud-based API platforms or backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, databases, cloud architectures, Agile/SCRUM, technical documentation, leadership, and consensus building.

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
