Senior Manager DC Software Development

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of software developers and system engineers.
• Define the strategic direction for data center and bare metal software development with product owners and stakeholders.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ensure technical quality, scalable architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with data center and bare metal operations to integrate and operate data center applications.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and efficiency while identifying and mitigating implementation risks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in software development, preferably in a data center or similarly complex technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of modern software development methods, including Agile and Scrum, and programming languages such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud architectures, virtualization, containers including Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, and robust software systems for data centers.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English communication skills are required.

• Basic knowledge of network architecture and firewall configurations.
