Focus on power mapping influential decision-makers, coordinating high-profile multilateral moments, piloting virtual field visits, and tracking advocacy outcomes at scale.
Location: New York, NY, USA; hybrid office work environment. Up to 10% travel may be required.
Salary: US Pay Rate: $110,000–$114,000 per year. UK pay rate: £58,476–£69,440 per year.

What you will do
- Define and implement integrated advocacy strategies that connect country-program crisis priorities with refugee, asylum, and integration priorities.
- Develop frameworks to define, resource, sequence, track, and report advocacy impact at scale.
- Coordinate advocacy around global moments such as the UN General Assembly, multilateral negotiations, replenishments, and high-level assemblies.
- Pilot and scale new engagement models, including virtual visits to country programs and advocacy coordination in locations without dedicated advocates.
- Support power mapping, creative campaigns, government engagement plans, and policy products that advance IRC objectives.
- Build relationships and collaborative processes across internal teams, NGOs, think tanks, policymakers, government officials, and multilateral organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–8 years of work experience preferred, including advocacy experience with an international organization, NGO, or government.
- Experience designing and implementing strategic planning processes and managing complex cross-organizational projects.
- Strong writing, editing, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with senior policymakers and translate policy solutions into actionable advocacy points.
- Solid English writing and editing skills required. Familiarity with humanitarian aid, foreign policy, and/or refugee issues is expected.
