Lead Procurement Manager - Strategy and Delivery

Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom; hybrid, with 60% of the week spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely

What you will do

• Lead governance, tracking, reporting, and delivery of the Group Savings Programme across Save to Invest, Capital, inflation mitigation, cash, and working capital initiatives.
• Own integrated planning, including category strategies, long-term planning, budget forecasting, savings pipeline management, and target setting across UK, regional, and subsidiary teams.
• Partner with procurement leadership on transformation initiatives, the Target Operating Model, process optimisation, governance, and new ways of working.
• Drive strategic projects, system enhancements, process simplification, group integration, and streamlined approvals with cross-functional teams and Tesco Business Services.
• Provide strategic analysis, executive communications, and insights for senior decision-making.
• Promote AI, automation, and data analytics while mentoring colleagues and strengthening continuous improvement capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience in strategic planning, process optimisation, and change management.
• Experience working within a large-scale transformation programme.
• Strong analytical, data-driven, and project management capabilities.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, organisational skills, teamwork, and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
