Business Operations Associate

Location: Hybrid position based at the headquarters in San Mateo, California, United States; office attendance is required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

What you will do

• Develop expertise in Roblox's business model and contribute to strategic, operational, and organizational optimization.
• Support annual strategic and financial planning and track key operating metrics across the company.
• Analyze user growth, engagement, monetization, strategic partnerships, and developer community opportunities.
• Work with Product, Business Development, Engineering, Marketing, People, FP&A, and Developer Relations to improve performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare monthly reports for management and the Board of Directors covering operational and financial performance, forecasts, historical results, and trends.
• Work with the CFO and VP of Finance on operational and financial issues and communicate findings to senior management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate development.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, science, or another quantitative field.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial and operational modeling.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills for communicating analysis and strategic priorities.
• Strong investigative, logical, analytical, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business issues and develop well-considered solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
• Exposure to emerging, high-growth technology or internet companies.
• Understanding of finance and public markets.
