Senior IT Systems Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; Massachusetts listed. Minimum travel required between sites or for training purposes, under 10%.

Salary: $81,500–$139,500 per year, plus eligibility for the company bonus plan.

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, monitor, and support IT infrastructure, cloud services, computer systems, networks, and application services.
• Analyze infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability, and evaluate technologies for company initiatives and budget planning.
• Design and build computer systems, network infrastructure, server environments, and application services using automation for consistent deployments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to error conditions, and provide potential 24 X 7 on-call support for mission-critical systems.
• Manage project timelines and technical documentation, including network diagrams, server standards, operating manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide escalation support for Office 365, Active Directory, end-user networking, and client applications while coaching infrastructure and service desk teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an IT systems engineer preferred.
• Experience administering cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications, such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems; VMware; storage administration; and Microsoft Windows Server.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, IIS, and SharePoint, plus database management with MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with MDM, SSO, email security, privilege management, system monitoring, information security, network protection, and endpoint protection.
• Bachelor’s degree or related certifications preferred, with strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
