AV Technician – Meeting & Events Tech Services

Location: Work from home in Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $106,180–$132,720 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead intake consultations, event setup discussions, run-of-show development, technical walkthroughs, and presenter rehearsals.
• Deliver approximately 400 in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings, webinars, webcasts, executive events, and large-scale productions.
• Launch and manage live events using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx, including security settings, recordings, breakout rooms, polling, Q&A, and participant management.
• Perform audio, video, content-sharing, connectivity, and conference-room technology checks.
• Monitor event communications, resolve technical incidents in real time, and provide calm support during high-visibility events.
• Edit and distribute recorded content, prepare attendance and engagement reports, perform post-event reviews, and support service improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5+ years of experience supporting enterprise AV, virtual, hybrid, or meeting-event technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom webinars or live events, plus Cisco meeting-room and collaboration technologies.
• Experience leading live event execution and supporting executive-level or other high-visibility meetings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, conferencing, and content-sharing systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, stakeholder management, multitasking, and fast-paced prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale webcasts, enterprise town halls, all-hands meetings, and hybrid events.
• Knowledge of cameras, microphones, DSPs, control systems, Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, AV signal flow, and networking fundamentals.
• Understanding of accessibility practices such as captioning and inclusive meeting delivery.
• Vendor coordination experience and CTS or comparable AV certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in television, digital media production, audiovisual production, communications, or a related field.
