Energy Engineer CT (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Berlin, CT, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when required by business needs or policy changes.

Annual salary: $108,110.00–$120,120.00, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and implement electric and natural gas energy efficiency program plans.
• Review technical parameters, building plans, engineering standards, energy codes, and incentive program rules.
• Analyze HVAC equipment, motors, controls, lighting systems, and other building systems to calculate energy savings.
• Plan and conduct inspections to verify equipment, operations, and measurable energy savings.
• Collaborate with customers and third parties on program implementation.
• Evaluate new technologies, support training and marketing activities, and participate in industry conferences and research projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of three years of relevant engineering or related technical experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors, VFDs, lighting, and building control systems.
• Ability to review building plans and familiarity with local energy codes.
• Strong problem-solving, attention-to-detail, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in engineering or business.
• EIT, PE, CEM, or LEED Professional certification.
