Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop electronics hardware, products, and engineering processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Design hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials.
• Integrate and test electronics hardware at the hardware level.
• Plan technical work, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical interface meetings.
• Maintain traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit, subsystem, and system test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of electronics hardware design and development experience.
• Experience designing PCB boards involving microprocessors and data communication.
• Ability to work onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with optical systems and design.
• Experience with control systems analysis and design.
