Lead Environment Artist

AMC Studio is a Bucharest-based 3D art and game development studio within the Keywords Studios international group, providing environment art and development services for AAA games.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Level Designers and the Art Director to maintain visual quality and gameplay clarity.
• Model modular environment pieces, props, terrain elements, and hero assets.
• Dress scenes through composition, prop-based storytelling, decals, and staging.
• Build and polish level art directly inside Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Optimize environments through LODs, draw-call management, and memory usage.
• Share techniques and best practices, fill gaps in modular kits, and provide constructive reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in environment art or level art for games.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating environment modeling and set dressing.
• Strong modeling skills in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 or Unity.
• Experience with PBR, Substance texture creation, and asset optimization.
• Hands-on leadership style and interest in helping an art team grow.
