Director, Competitive Intelligence (Biopharma)

Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere. Occasional in-person engagement and approximately 20% travel are required.

Salary: $177,000–$242,000 annual.

What you will do

• Manage and evolve competitive intelligence monitoring, synthesis, and communication for approved products and pipeline programs.
• Design intelligence frameworks around strategic questions and deliver actionable insights to global program teams.
• Partner with Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Market Access, and therapeutic-area Insights Leads to evaluate threats and opportunities, support lifecycle management, and prioritize assets.
• Analyze scientific publications, conference presentations, earnings calls, regulatory filings, and primary research.
• Develop executive-ready competitive narratives, market-share analyses, monitoring KPIs, and competitive forecasting assumptions.
• Build partnerships with US and regional stakeholders to align intelligence with commercial priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech competitive intelligence, strategic consulting, market research, analytics, business development, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, synthesis, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to identify competitive threats and opportunities, develop intelligence plans, and lead projects without direct authority.
• Ability to work between strategic-level priorities and detailed analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• At least 4 years of experience in respiratory, specialty, or rare diseases.
