Football Video Systems Technician

Location: On-site at stadiums in Bergamo, Italy; applicants must live within a 50 km radius of Bergamo. The role may involve travel across Italy and Europe, with irregular hours primarily on weekends and some midweek fixtures.

Salary: Starting from €130 per day, based on experience.

What you will do

• Supervise and manage stadium equipment for VAR, Goal-Line Technology, and Electronic Performance Tracking System operations.
• Connect vans or control rooms to stadium systems and remote technical centers, then test system connectivity.
• Install and test audio and Referee Review Area equipment on the sidelines.
• Process camera video signals and provide outputs for GLT, Semi-Automatic Offside, VAR, ARE YOU THERE, and VORcam systems.
• Monitor GLT and VAR during matches, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with the Remote Center.
• Complete checklists, match reports, equipment documentation, and dismantling activities.

Requirements

• Strong organisational, analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and responsible approach, with the ability to work independently in a high-pressure, procedural live-broadcast environment.
• Professional communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders.
• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours throughout the football season.
• Must be located within 50 km of Bergamo and have a VAT number or be willing to open one.

Nice to have

• Technical background in IT or broadcast.
• Football knowledge and interest in sports or sports analysis.
• Experience with VT/replay technology, live events, or technical production.
• Driving licence and willingness to travel locally or across Italy.
