TL;DR
Senior Program Manager, Transmission (Project Controls and Energy Utilities): Developing and monitoring financial, schedule, KPI, risk, and portfolio reporting controls for regional transmission projects with an accent on budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on aligning project performance with long-range plans, managing mitigation strategies, and building reporting systems across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Location: Hybrid schedule in Westwood, MA or Hartford, CT; employees must work at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and may be required to work up to five days in the office. Travel between MA, CT, and NH and emergency restoration assignments are required.

Salary: $115,880–$128,750 annually, plus potential incentive.

Energy utility organization operating a regional transmission business across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

What you will do

  • Develop, monitor, and report financial and schedule project-control metrics for the regional transmission portfolio.
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning for CAPEX and PIS across monthly, quarterly, and fiscal-year horizons.
  • Develop KPIs and maintain project status, schedule, and financial performance records aligned with long-range plans.
  • Prepare portfolio status reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and updates for management and workplan meetings.
  • Organize project risks, track mitigation plans, and coordinate formal project records and assignments with project management and eBuilder.
  • Identify training needs, facilitate subject-matter-expert training, and mentor employees in financial management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Four to six years of related experience.
  • Excellent technical, quantitative, analytical, communication, reporting, and decision-making skills.
  • Utility industry experience is required; ISO/RTO experience is a plus.
  • MS Office proficiency and advanced MS Excel skills are required; familiarity with FERC or New England state energy regulation is desirable.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and availability for travel between MA, CT, and NH and emergency restoration work are required.

Nice to have

  • Coding, data visualization, and GIS software experience.
  • Experience with ISO/RTO organizations.
  • Knowledge of FERC and New England state energy regulation.
