Manager Payroll EMEA (Payroll Operations): Managing end-to-end payroll operations for assigned EMEA markets with an accent on statutory compliance, payroll controls, vendor performance, and team leadership. Focus on resolving complex escalations, driving continuous improvement and transformational payroll projects, and maintaining accurate delivery against SLAs, KPIs, audits, and budget requirements.
Location: Thessaloniki, Chortiatis, Greece; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned EMEA countries and market clusters.
- Ensure payroll controls, work instructions, staffing, backups, workloads, and sign-off activities are properly managed.
- Monitor regulatory compliance, payroll metrics, SLAs, vendor performance, and corrective actions.
- Resolve complex and time-sensitive escalations with internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors.
- Lead people-management activities, including performance management, coaching, goal setting, and team development.
- Drive continuous improvement, transformational payroll projects, audits, compliance checks, and budget management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or human resources.
- Extensive experience with payroll systems and software, including familiarity with HRIS and ERP systems.
- Experience leading a team and managing multiple priorities independently.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance, audits, analytical problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
- Effective spoken and written English communication is required.
Nice to have
- Certified Payroll Professional designation or a master's degree in business or a related field.
- Experience in a large corporate environment and knowledge of multinational payroll regulations.
- Experience with Workday, ADP, Core HR, SAP, payroll, and time-and-attendance systems.
- Additional language capabilities.
- Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, including responsible AI practices.
