Senior Engineer, Substation Engineering

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States; hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire may be required.

Salary: $129,450–$143,830 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead engineering design for substation and switching station projects from concept and scope definition through energization.
• Act as project engineer and provide electrical discipline leadership, interdisciplinary coordination, and schedule management.
• Develop engineering solutions, equipment specifications, standards, procedures, cost estimates, schedules, and capital project authorization documents.
• Conduct engineering studies supporting the design and application of substation equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with engineering design, drafting, procurement, construction, and system planning groups.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to other engineers and ensure accurate, standards-compliant project deliverables.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or BS in Engineering Technology.
• At least 5 years of experience in the electrical utility industry.
• Experience designing 13kV through 362kV substations in accordance with IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple engineering projects while meeting budget and schedule constraints.
• Must be able to work at least three days per week in the office and up to five days when required.
