Senior Software Engineer (Customer Data Platform)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What you will do

• Design and improve clickstream data pipelines from event ingestion through insight delivery.
• Develop services and tools for understanding user behavior across hirify.global applications.
• Build scalable customer data platform capabilities for data onboarding, online serving, machine learning models, segmentation, and real-time targeting.
• Design backend distributed systems, APIs, services, and OLTP database integrations.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs for high-load, low-latency systems while maintaining reliability and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Scala.
• Experience developing large-scale backend or data systems and distributed services.
• Experience with APIs, services, and OLTP databases.
• Good English communication skills and experience working in regional or global environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink for real-time processing and Apache Spark for batch processing.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience building customer data platforms, clickstream platforms, marketing systems, or advertising systems.
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and workflows.
