Senior UI Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days per week at the HPE office in Saint-Laurent, Canada

Salary: CAD 97,600–181,000 annual base salary, with possible variable incentives

What you will do

• Contribute to the UI architecture and development of Aruba Central, a cloud platform for managing HPE Networking infrastructure.
• Build clean, maintainable, scalable frontend components and application flows using TypeScript and React or an equivalent framework.
• Define and enforce frontend standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, and design consistency.
• Implement and maintain automated unit and end-to-end tests using Jest and Cypress.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and platform teams on integration, deployment reliability, and frontend observability.
• Review technical designs and pull requests, mentor less-experienced developers, and drive continuous engineering improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 7–10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong TypeScript programming skills and knowledge of React or another high-level web framework such as Angular or Vue.
• Experience with automated UI quality practices, including Cypress and Jest unit testing.
• Ability to use AI-assisted coding effectively and identify hallucinated or low-quality code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals to senior management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Bitbucket, or GitHub.
