Senior Index Options Trader

Location: New York or Chicago, United States; hybrid working opportunities available.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 annual base salary in New York, plus an eligible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of listed index options products.
• Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to optimize existing strategies.
• Work with developers to improve trading systems, latency, and execution.
• Identify and monetize new trading opportunities.
• Mentor junior traders and quantitative researchers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience on a high-volume share index options market-making desk.
• Expertise in capturing short-term and long-term dislocations in volatility pricing.
• Deep understanding of risks involved in managing a large index options portfolio.
• Experience operating, optimizing, and iteratively improving distributed automated trading systems.
• Knowledge of exchange protocols for achieving best execution.
• Relevant programming experience, preferably in Python and/or C++, along with excellent attention to detail.
