Staff Security Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable distributed systems forming the security engineering foundation.
• Develop high-throughput control integrations and data pipelines for IAM, logs, vulnerability scanners, and continuous compliance data.
• Build metrics engines, real-time dashboards, and analytics pipelines for compliance health, technical risk, and emerging threats.
• Architect and manage PKI, SPIFFE/SPIRE identity, and HashiCorp Vault secrets-management infrastructure.
• Integrate and scale automated security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical direction, architectural oversight, and mentorship across the security engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years of production-grade programming in Go or Rust.
• 4+ years deploying, securing, and managing applications at scale with Kubernetes and public cloud environments.
• Experience designing and operating high-QPS, fault-tolerant, mission-critical distributed systems.
• Strong experience with GCP or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
• Production experience with HashiCorp Vault, SPIFFE/SPIRE, Kubernetes internals, operators, and control-plane optimization.

Nice to have

• Advanced authentication and authorization experience in distributed systems.
• Experience building security tools or telemetry platforms for AI/ML or high-performance computing environments.
• Contributions to open-source security engineering projects or frameworks.
