Staff Product Security Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; on-site

Salary: $250,000–$285,000 plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Perform advanced manual penetration testing across applications, infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and distributed microservices.
• Lead red team operations, adversary simulations, offensive security initiatives, and security research.
• Secure LLM pipelines, vector databases, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and other AI/ML systems.
• Research novel attack surfaces in LLMs and autonomous systems and contribute to AI security research.
• Embed security into the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, container images, and deployment workflows.
• Build security guardrails, production tooling, policy-as-code frameworks, and reusable secure libraries while leading cross-functional programs.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of hands-on offensive security experience, including manual penetration testing, red team operations, and adversary simulation.
• Experience with C2 frameworks such as Cobalt Strike, Sliver, or Havoc, plus exploit development and security research.
• Strong expertise in AI/ML systems, MLOps, inference architectures, vector databases, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• Experience building and securing LLM pipelines and AI workflows in Kubernetes or bare-metal environments.
• Production software engineering experience with Go, Python, or Rust, plus hands-on experience securing Kubernetes, containers, VMs, and CI/CD environments.
• Ability to lead complex security initiatives and influence engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Public contributions to offensive security or AI security research, including talks, blogs, tooling, or CVEs.
• Experience building internal red team or adversary simulation programs.
• Background in high-performance computing, AI infrastructure, or cloud-native platform security.
• Experience designing policy-as-code frameworks at scale.
