Security Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, 5 days per week, within walking distance of Caltrain

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage preventative security controls and rapid response capabilities for cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
• Integrate secure coding standards, automated security testing, and secure architecture practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct security code reviews, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop automated security testing procedures and monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Respond to security incidents, document security processes, and participate in incident response procedures.
• Lead security awareness and training programs across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer focused on product security.
• Experience securing cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Infrastructure as Code security practices.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript and Python.
• Expertise in application security, network security, security operations, and incident response.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes security, AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, security assessments, third-party audits, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, WAF, SIEM, and encryption solutions.
