Asset / Property Manager (IT Asset Management)

Location: Hybrid position based in the Washington, DC Metro area; regular onsite presence is required for physical inventory activities. Work must be performed in the United States.

Salary: $81,147–$137,949 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets and personal property from procurement through secure disposal.
• Maintain accurate records in approved federal systems of record and update them within 24 hours of acquisition or disposal events.
• Execute the annual physical inventory cycle, provide weekly and monthly status reporting, and reconcile shortages, overages, and other discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Device-as-a-Service vendors on procurement, order tracking, delivery, tagging, and asset intake.
• Support end-of-life disposal, secure data removal, decommissioning, recycling, resale, and final disposition records.
• Maintain audit documentation and support lifecycle cost analysis, technology refresh planning, and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or federal personal property management.
• 2+ years managing asset lifecycle programs under federal property regulations, including physical inventory execution and PAO coordination.
• 2+ years coordinating with hardware or DaaS vendors on procurement, logistics, and asset intake.
• Experience with federal property management systems such as NIH Sunflower, NBSC, or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. work authorization, U.S. residency, ability to work in the United States, and eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting property management programs for HHS, NIH, FDA, or other health-focused federal agencies.
• Familiarity with the NIH Personal Property Management Guide or an equivalent framework.
• Experience with CMDB maintenance, ServiceNow or other ITSM integrations, and property audits.
• CITAM or equivalent asset management certification.
