Senior Product Security Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $175,000–$215,000 annually plus bonus; restricted stock units included

What you will do

• Design and build secure frameworks and patterns for high-performance AI workflows, agents, and models.
• Create reusable security patterns for microservices, including service-to-service authorization, API security, and multi-tenant data isolation.
• Build developer-facing security tools and automation that identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
• Perform security reviews, penetration tests, code reviews, and system design reviews for SaaS offerings.
• Work with engineering teams to ship production code and establish security foundations across AI infrastructure and distributed systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience shipping production software with strong system design skills.
• Deep expertise in Golang and Node.js/JavaScript, including experience building and debugging distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience securing gRPC services, REST APIs, and microservice architectures.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and RBAC/ABAC models.
• Production experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling and CI/CD integration, plus knowledge of runtime application security and observability.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native environments, network security, OWASP Top 10, cryptography, and secure coding principles.

• Experience building reusable security frameworks or internal developer platforms.
• Platform or infrastructure-adjacent security engineering background.
• Experience influencing security practices across multiple engineering teams.
• Familiarity with supply chain security and dependency risk management.
