Senior Data Scientist (Ads)

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $190,800–$267,100 USD base salary per year, plus equity and potentially commission.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and apply data science solutions for advertiser experience and advertising platform improvements.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to define requirements, metrics, and solutions.
• Develop machine learning models and data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, or another quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of industry experience for M.S. holders or 4 years for Ph.D. holders in applied science or data science roles.
• Platform experience and a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design.
• Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; proficiency in Python or R, machine learning libraries, SQL, and relational databases.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with online advertising and ad tech.
• Experience with causal inference and A/B testing.
• Knowledge of BigQuery.
• Open-source contributions or publications in relevant conferences or journals.
