Senior Data Scientist - Consumer

Location: Remote in the United States or onsite at offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York

Salary: $190,800–$267,100 USD per year, plus equity and potential commission depending on the position offered

What you will do

• Develop actionable product insights through observational causal analysis, experiment meta-analysis, and deep data research.
• Guide the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to improve experimentation practices and maximize learning.
• Build ETLs, data tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools for data scientists and cross-functional partners.
• Design and evaluate team-level KPIs for quarterly planning and impact measurement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Business Development, and other stakeholders to align on goals and outcomes.
• Mentor junior data scientists and business partners in data science methods and best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.
• Master’s degree holders: 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science; Ph.D. holders: 4+ years.
• Expertise querying relational databases with SQL and programming in Python or R.
• Deep understanding of online experimentation, A/B testing, causal inference, and statistical techniques.
• Strong technical communication and data storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems by creating action plans, gathering feedback, and iterating.
