Security Engineer (Endpoint Security)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Denver, United States

Salary: $170,000–$205,000 annually plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Administer and improve Jamf and Microsoft Intune across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
• Build automated Apple Business Manager and Windows Autopilot enrollment workflows for zero-touch provisioning.
• Own patch management, device compliance baselines, policy enforcement, and remediation across endpoint platforms.
• Integrate MDM telemetry with EDR and SIEM tools to provide endpoint visibility and detect compliance drift.
• Implement device trust, Conditional Access, certificate-based authentication, and network access controls.
• Develop Bash, Python, and PowerShell automation, maintain runbooks and asset records, and support MDM escalations.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience with Jamf or Kandji and Microsoft Intune, including Autopilot, compliance policies, and app protection.
• Hands-on expertise with OSQuery and CrowdStrike for endpoint visibility, threat detection, and response.
• Strong knowledge of Okta Device Trust or FastPass and Entra ID Conditional Access.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for policy automation, packaging, and remediation.
• Understanding of certificate infrastructure including SCEP and PKCS, plus experience with Absolute for Windows persistence.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or equivalent EDR experience.
• Linux endpoint management with Fleet, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Apple Certified Support Professional or equivalent MDM certification.
• SIEM tooling and endpoint log pipeline experience.
• Experience in a high-growth technology company during rapid headcount expansion.
