Network Architect (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; on-site

Salary: $195,000–$225,000 per year plus bonus; Restricted Stock Units included.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end network architecture for production, corporate, cloud, and industrial environments.
• Define and enforce network security strategies, risk assessments, audit readiness, and infrastructure standards.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, IP schemas, rack elevations, and logical topologies.
• Oversee infrastructure builds, including bill of materials reviews, vendor selection, and procurement alignment.
• Set platform strategy, evaluate networking technologies, and resolve complex network issues as the highest-level escalation point.
• Partner with Security, IT Operations, Construction, and Power teams to design scalable deployments and govern change control.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architecture or principal-level role.
• Experience owning architecture across multi-site data centers, industrial facilities, and corporate networks.
• Deep expertise in IT, cloud, and industrial networking, including IoT, OT, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and evolving production networks at scale.
• Background in network security frameworks, audits, compliance initiatives, vendors, carriers, and procurement.
• Strong understanding of change management and architectural governance.

Nice to have

• CCIE or equivalent expertise.
• CISSP, GICSP, or another security-focused certification.
• Experience with AI/ML or HPC networking, including RDMA, InfiniBand, and low-latency fabrics.
• Experience in energy, industrial, edge compute, or high-growth startup environments.
