Senior Site Reliability Developer (AWS)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.

Salary: CAD 107,000–157,300 per year starting base salary for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

What you will do

• Lead architecture, solution design, development, and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure for microservices.
• Manage requirements, implementation, release planning, and end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions.
• Improve CI/CD, reliability, scalability, security, and automated infrastructure deployment using DevOps practices.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration management with Terraform, Serverless, and CloudFormation.
• Lead disaster recovery strategies, failover exercises, gamedays, maintenance activities, and critical vulnerability remediation.
• Provide operational support, resolve infrastructure and CI/CD incidents, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar field.
• Proficiency managing AWS resources, networking, security protocols, and cloud automation.
• Expertise defining CI/CD processes with Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, monitoring, and logging tools including Grafana, Datadog, ELK, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, AWS services, Kafka, Flink, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Apigee, ServiceNow, and Splunk.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI and ML to engineering processes or DevOps automation.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, AWS and SRE certifications, Redis, databases, and cloud architectures.
• Experience with Kinesis, Firehose, Kafka, JVM optimization, and Gradle.
• Linux systems administration, scripting, production troubleshooting, and programming with Python, Go, Bash, Groovy, or Node.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication and end-to-end ownership.
