Salary: $85,000–$150,000 USD per year, with Level III and Level IV ranges of $85,000–$123,000 and $123,000–$150,000.

What you will do
- Plan, write, edit, and maintain customer-focused proposals for aerospace systems and products.
- Analyze RFPs, RFIs, BAAs, SOWs, solicitation instructions, and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate with capture managers, program managers, engineers, business development, contracts, finance, manufacturing, quality, and executive leadership.
- Interview subject matter experts and transform technical, management, manufacturing, logistics, cybersecurity, and program execution information into persuasive narratives.
- Develop proposal outlines, storyboards, content plans, templates, visual aids, and reusable proposal materials.
- Participate in Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team, and White Glove reviews, incorporating feedback and managing revisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, technical communication, journalism, communications, business, engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of proposal-writing experience, including experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success writing winning competitive proposals.
- Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and competitive proposal processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting proposals valued at $10 million or more and major defense acquisition programs.
- Experience with MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, proposal automation tools, or similar collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with Shipley proposal development methodology or comparable best practices.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, systems engineering, avionics, software development, logistics, cybersecurity, or sustainment programs.
- APMP certification and an active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
