Senior Technical Product Manager (Healthcare AI)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and own product strategy for the Tempus Data Platform and its secure, scalable data exchange capabilities.
• Own the roadmap for the Edge Appliance and Edge API, including on-premises, cloud-to-cloud, FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and other data integrations.
• Improve the efficiency and reliability of data ingestion, processing, and delivery workflows.
• Partner with scientists, clinicians, engineers, ML/AI teams, designers, data engineers, and external integration partners.
• Define KPIs for throughput, latency, reliability, adoption, and successful data product creation.
• Lead requirements, execution planning, launch strategy, stakeholder communication, and operational change management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management experience, including at least 2 years with enterprise integration platforms, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure services.
• Experience managing API products, data transfer services such as SFTP or S3, or on-premises software such as virtual appliances.
• Experience working with agile software development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across medical, scientific, engineering, operations, data science, and partner teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Chicago.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, cloud integration patterns, and on-premises deployment models.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in regulated industries.
