Site Reliability Engineer (Healthcare)

Salary: $85,000–$130,000 per year for roles performed from Illinois; compensation may vary for California, Colorado, and New York.

What you will do

• Work as a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team and provide dependable cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Review application requirements and recommend infrastructure solutions and common design patterns.
• Configure and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CI tools such as Concourse.
• Simplify development and infrastructure provisioning workflows through automation.
• Implement dashboards, monitoring, and alerting for team services.
• Support users in person or through Slack and advocate for engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience building and deploying containerized applications and services.
• Enjoyment of automating manual tasks and working in agile environments.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues from different fields and with varying skill sets.
• Ability to learn relevant technologies and contribute technical guidance to developers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Docker, Ansible, Salt, Packer, Puppet, Chef, or similar infrastructure tools.
• Familiarity with database design and tuning, especially AWS Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Composer and Dataproc.
• Proficiency with Bash and a programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Golang.
• Healthcare experience and familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, or ISO compliance frameworks.
